B&R 10 Workstation, can't mount TIB, "drilling into" results in errors

Thread needs solution

I just purchased a copy of Backup & Recovery 10 Workstation (latest build 12703). And so far I'm disappointed, to say the least.

First off, I cannot mount a TIB file I just created as a drive letter. It gives me the error 0x0000FFF0 (see the first attachment, error.jpg.)

Second of all, if I try to "drill down" into the TIB, apparently it "works" except for the fact that every click brings up another error window (see error2.jpg). 10 drill-down clicks, 10 error windows I have to close.

I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. I bought this stupid B&R 10 because it's supposed to be compatible with Win 7.

The TIB I created validates fine, and I can restore files the old-fashioned way, through the program interface. But it's ridiculous that with B&10 that I can't mount or explore TIB files.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Not to mention that again Acronis has offended me, by hiring new and different Martians to completely redesign the interface and terminology, making it yet again different from everything else Acronis has done before, and (needless to say) anything that a normal human interface designer would ever design. What the hell is a "vault"? Why do I have to expend every ounce of my intellectual resources figuring out where stuff is and how it works every time I upgrade to a new version of Acronis?

OK, I have to admit that maybe the interface on B&R 10 is probably Acronis' best effort yet. But that's not saying much.

Thanks
