B&R doesn't start under Windows 7 RC 64-bit
Hi,
I installed B&R Workstation Build 11133 from an Administrator account. The installation went through without any problem, but when I start mms.exe, I get the following error message:
Cannot connect to 'localhost'.
'Details' reveal the following additional information:
Code: 5.42.881(0x5000001)
Module: E:\Program Files(x86)\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\mms.exe
Message: Failed to retrieve parameter 'Windows name'
Code: 1.311.724(0x1403EC)
Message: WMI 'ConnectServer' failed.
Code: 65.520(0xFFF0)

I read some threads here which seem to indicate that the problem might arise from the B&R services' configuration. During install I let B&R create its own accounts. Thus Managed Machine Service is running under '.\Acronis Agent User,' Remote Agent and Schedule2 under 'Local System'. Neither switching all three to '.\Acronis Agent User' nor to 'Local System' didn't help.
I tried a repair install, no avail. Also a complete deinstall and new install didn't help.

Most probably, the machine has corrupted WMI repository. One of the symptoms of a corrupted WMI is absence of information about the NICs under Network Adapters:
Windows System Information File -> System Summary -> Components -> Network Adapters
Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 needs this information to establish a connection.
Diagnose and troubleshoot WMI issues on the machine with the Acronis Agent.
