Browsing & Restoring .TIB Archive
Dear Acronis Support Network:
I have several .TIB backups stored on an external disk drive. Presently, the machine on which the archives were taken is down; and I am using an alternate (laptop) machine. I would like to recover a few of the files on the archive but am not allowed to install the Acronis disk software on my laptop. Does Acronis offer a simple utility that will allow me to browse and download selected files from the .TIB archive?
Cheers,
Acronis True Image User
Happy New Year!

Hello all!
Thank you for your comments, I would like to shed some light on the situation.
Unfortunately you can browse and explore the images only in case you have Acronis Backup Software installed on the machine, and, as MudCrab mentioned, we do not have any tools for extracting images from files.
So in this case I can advise you to create the Acronis Bootable Rescue Media. You can boot the target machine with it and recover the needed files offline and without installing the software.
You can obtain by
- going here in your account and downloading the *.ISO file. Please burn the ISO image using appropriate writing software such as Nero or Roxio Easy CD Creator which runs on your computer. We recommend you to refer to the following article if you are not familiar with ISO burning.
- going to Tools -> Create Acronis Bootable Rescue Media in the main menu of the product installed.\
I would appreciate if you could kindly let me know whether there is anything confusing, I will be glad to clarify!
Thank you!
