Building Backup

Thread needs solution

I'm having problems getting Acronis 10 to successfuly run a backup and restore. This is my first time dealing w/ Win7 and w/ version 10 of Acronis. One thing I noticed was Win7 machines have a BDE drive/partition. This is associated w/ bit-locker function for disk encription. Might this be the cause of the problems? I don't need/want this partion. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hello Michael!

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here! I understand your concern and will be glad to assist you.

Acronis Backup and Recovery for Workstation is fully compatibly with Window 7, so there should be no issues. But we do have compatibility issue with encryption software. You can find more information here.

So encryption could've been a cause of the issue you're experiencing. I'm sure I could give you more information regarding the solution of the problem, but I need to know exactly what's happening. Could you please provide me with the following data?

  1. Detailed description of backup/restore failure
  2. Error message if any
  3. Exact sequence of steps performed
  4. Acronis Info from the problem machine

This data will help me to localise the issue and find an appropriate solution for it.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!
