I would also like to see the instructions for updating the SnapAPI Drivers. I am experiencing this exact same issue every time I try to run a manual or scheduled backup with the new 11639 build.

Hello,
we are experiencing the exact same problem here using the same build as mentioned above on a Windows Server 2008 Standard 64bit Service Pack 2 box. We would like to try this solution, too, if it is helping...
Thanks in advance for your help,

Hello Ercan,
Thank you for your post. I will definitely help you with this.
Before providing you with a SnapApi update, can you please give us additional information regarding this issue.
Are you backing up a database with the Volume Shadow Copy option enabled? If yes, please disable this option and try running the backup again. Does the same error appear?
If there are errors without VSS (Volume Shadow Copy) then you can try updating the SnapApi drivers. I will generate a unique link and send it to you via a PM just in case.
If there are no errors, please use the following solution:
1. Use Microsoft VSS instead, set it up and re-create the backup task.
2. If it still fails with native Microsoft VSS, just in case, check that ntbackup is working properly, then generate an AcronisInfo report and submit a support request. Ask the case to get escalated to our Expert team so that we can resolve it for you.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.

I had this same problem with the same build on a 64-bit Vista Ultimate system. I finally discovered that Vista had scheduled a daily process that "creates regular system protection points" under the "Microsoft/Windows/SystemRestore" node in the Task Scheduler. This task happened to be scheduled at exactly the same time as my backups. It appears that it was a race to see which task started the shadow copy service first and when the Windows task got there first the Acronis task failed.
My solution was to move my Acronis backup 15 minutes earlier. My backups have not failed in several days whereas they would not run successfully for more than 2 days before, so I am hopeful this fixed the problem since I don't want to jump through Acronis' hoops to get the updated SnapApi drivers.

I have the same problem for almost a month and a half but unfortunately no solution from Acronis Support staff worked for me especially snapApi drivers update. Whenever I tried to install updated snapApi driver, it gives me error everytime and hence could not install it. However, the Acronis staff give me the same link whenver I asked them for help.I have also asked if the reinstallation of windows 2003 would help in resolving this issue but I did not get any answer on this. Please, I badly need this issue to be resolved.

Hello all,
Thank you for your comments. I will definitely assist you.
James, thank you for sharing your solution with us!
Mohamed, please accept my apologies for the inconvenience. I have found your case in our system and it has been forwarded to our Expert team. I believe the best way to proceed is to wait for them to get back to you and not perform any drastic measures such as re-installing the operating system because it may not fix the problem.
If there is anything else I can do, please let me know.
Thank you.
