Can not schedule backups "Failed to Create Backup Plan."
Attempting to run the Workstation version with Universal restore on XP Pro SP3.
I've been through the knowledge base, read many other threads with people having similar issues and have upgraded to the latest version as of this writing. I can run a one time backup without any issues.
I have wasted so much time trying to get this work for a few clients that I can not in good faith bill them for this time wasted as I (regretfully now) made the recommendation for acronis products. We have never had such issues with Echo Workstation (which I'd love to downgrade to).
I had similar experiences with Backup Recovery for SBS but was at least able to downgrade to the Echo version.
I don't have time to troubleshoot these types of issues as you would expect the program would work (I'm scarred to actually try to restore in an emergency if the little things such as scheduling do not work). Is there a way to downgrade the regular Backup and Recovery Workstation to Echo Workstation.
Thanks,
Euser4life

My Comment would be to avoid Acronis at all costs!!! A quick read of the forums will show lost of urgent matters and no resolution from Acronnis. Your options are to bin it and put in a proper backup solution, such as Shadowcraft (I don't work for them BTW)

Hello Euser4life,
Thank you for using Acronis Corporate Products
You can downgrade any edition of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10, except for Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Workstation (Standalone). Downgrade from Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Workstation (Standalone) is not possible. Please see the article Downgrading Acronis Backup & Recovery 10.0 to Acronis True Image Echo for more information.
Thank you.
