Cannot modify any job - ProtectionQueue XXXXYYYYYYYZZZZZ cannot be found

Thread needs solution

Hello Forum Members,

First of all, I would like to start off by saying that this is my first time working with Acronis software and I am not impressed one bit. The software seems dodgy at best and the support is pretty much non existent. I am trying to help out a small company and the license key is already registered to some other account so it is impossible for me to open a support ticket at this point.

Hopefully someone in the community can help me.

I was asked to work on fixing some Acronis backup issues at this company and had been making some great progress. I had 4 of the 5 servers backing up but the 5th server has been challenging. The server had hung tasks (running for 4 months according to the GUI) and I followed the procedures I found in a KB article to stop the services, run the remove_pending_activities utility etc, this worked fine. I logged back into Acronis and can no longer modify any of my jobs on the central management server (I can modify them if I connect directly to the machine).

I receive an error that states:

Code: 20,250,639(0x135000F)
LineInfo: 0x60E1B1A467FACF06;

Module: C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\AMS\ManagementServer.exe
Message: TOL: Queue 'ProtectionQueue-7681429A-7A7A-4DF4-BFDB-973D8C10FC47' cannot be found.

I thought to myself, perhaps I just need to delete the jobs and recreate them. It turns out I cannot create new jobs from the central management server. I have restarted all Acronis services (no errors reported) and this is still happening. I have tried to remove the machines from the central management server, this just seems to hang indefinitely. I am out of options here and it is impossible to even open a ticket with Acronis.

Any ideas?

Update to build 17440. This issue is fixed there. If you can't update right now, you can comment the line

in ams.config file in C:\Program Files\Acronis\AMS (losing ability to see catalog in ventralized vaults on the management server)
However if the don't have registered key they don't have access to the updates on the site, either.
