I have created backup of few data folders with Acronis 10 workstation. Now I have new laptop where I try to restore that data. I cannot restore anything from the .tib file. When trying to restore from restore cd, acronis restarts laptop when opening image file. When trying to restore from Windows I get visual basic error and acronis service shutdown.

Validation of archive works fine. I get succeeded message, but I am unable to restore any files from the archive.

Any ideas how to get data out from this .tib file??

Hello matarvai,

Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/ | Acronis Corporate Products]]

Could you please clarify where the backup file is placed (whether it's on internal, external, or network hard drive)? Please copy the archive to another location (for example, from the external hard drive to the internal HD) and see if the issue remains.

You can also recover the archive booting Acronis Bootable Rescue Media on another computer.

Please try to explore the archive instead of performing the recovery, you will be able to get the access to the archive from within Windows.

Thank you.
