CANNOT RESTORE (NEED HELP)

Thread needs solution

I'm re posting because I need urgent help.
I'm using the latest version "True Image home 2010" and WIN XP PRO
I made a full backup but when I try to restore using the program within Windows after the reboot I get the error "Error occurred while opening the file" message"please insert the last media of the backup archive and click retry", after this I have to cancel.
Let me be more specific, after the reboot, I get the message regarding Acronis loading and after-wards instead of accessing the drives to choose my backup I get the message regarding the last media.
I've been testing and all the above does not happen if I try to do a restore with a True Image created boot disk, it only happens in the above setup.
This never happened in version 10 and I really don't know what to do.
I also tried to restore a backup made with version 10 and got the same message.
Unfortunately the old version 10 is not compatible with Windows 7 and I have to upgrade.
Please advice urgently.

Acronis recommends booting from the TI Rescue CD when restoring the system partition or when restoring the system partition to a new disk.

When done under Windows, the reboot utilizes the same program files as on the CD. Save yourself some grief and boot from the CD.

If you are restoring a data partition only, this can be done inside Windows.
