Can't install Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 on Win 7 x64

Thread needs solution

As I've tried the support option both chat and phone (which I purchased with the product) to no use, I will post the issue here. Acronis truly disappointed me. I have added the new keys on the License Server which I've installed locally on my workstation. The setup files think otherwise and reports "There are no license keys on the server". Either the License Server is incorrect as reporting the keys as available or the installer. Either way, I am stuck with a product I cannot install. I've been using Acronis for years happily but no this baby. No support no luck....

Here is the level of support I got so far. The phone support was even worse. It asks you to enter 20 keys and finally says the system is down and "try you call later".... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello Eralp,

I am aware of the issue you are experiencing, I will do my best to resolve it. 

The issue is well-known, sometimes the program refuses to accept the upgrade licenses. The update will be available in the next released build of the program, the exact date of the release is unknown. Meanwhile, to resolve the issue please uninstall Acronis License Server and manually delete the following folder:

- Windows 2000/XP/2003 \Documents and Settings\NetworkService\Local Settings\Application Data\Acronis\License Server

- Windows Vista/2008/Windows 7 \ProgramData\Acronis\License Server\

Install Acronis License Server from the scratch and after that please use the full licenses of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 (I am sending them to you via PMs). I replaced the full licenses of Acronis True image Echo and the Upgrade licenses of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 with the full licenses of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10.

I spent all day trying to download and install this product. Two sessions of remote assistance useless. I can get as far as "preparing to install" then nothing. Seems I have wasted my money.
