Can't recover archive from TI Echo 9.5 in B&R10

I have a two backups made in 2008 that I need to restore. I believe the two were made with True Image Echo Workstation 9.5 in Windows Vista.
I now have Backup and Recovery 10 installed on Windows 7 x64.

If I recall correctly, the backup was set to do a full backup every Sunday, and Incremental backups each day.

When I try to view the .tib files in Explorer they all seem to be empty. Windows reports the .tip file having a size of 49GB, yet inside no files are displayed.

From inside B&R 10, when I go to do a restore, it also shows the Contents as being empty...

Any ideas? I'm desperate.

I installed it, but when I try to launch, Windows tells me "This program is blocked due to compatibility issues".
I'm not too keen on partitioning my drive to dual boot Win 7 and Vista just to get this data back. I will if I have to, but I'd like to reserve that as a last resort.

Do I have any other options?

You could try restoring the files from the Echo CD instead of in Windows. Another option would be to setup a VM with Echo and a compatible version of Windows and access the backups from there.
