Can't Recover to RAID1 "Can't resize volume"

Thread needs solution

I am moving between two systems with identical hardware using an up to date version of Acronis backup and recovery 11.5 bootable media. My BIOS is up to date. Hard drives are WD 3TB drives.
When trying to restore data to my RAID1 configuration as I have in the past I'm running into a problem where Acronis sees the RAID as 606.8GB instead of the actual disk size. if the disks are not in the raid then acronis will see them as their full size.
I tried installing an OS to see if that would rewrite the partition tables. The OS saw the drives as full size. My Pre-boot RAID environment shows the drives as 3tb as well.
I have tried this on three test machines, I have tried changing/resetting BIOS settings such as CSM and OS optimized defaults. I even put the disk into a working system that I had previously applied an image to. When the bootable media loaded the acronis environment the raid showed as only 606.8 GB
I have tried pulling the drives and wiping them, tried making them into one 3tb partition , tried leaving them uninitialized, tried rebuilding the raid several times.
I have 6 of the same 3tb drives that I have been mixing and matching, they all act the same.
it seems whatever system I look at Arconis refuses to see my 3TB RAID1 as anything but 606.8gb Acronis does give a message when you select a destination restore disk, "Can't resize volume"

Hi Alan,

Thank you for your posting! Most probably the Linux-based bootable media does not contain the necessary drivers for the RAID controller. Please create a WinPE-based bootable media and add the respective drivers. Here you will also find the list of supported hardware for Linux-based media.

Thank you!
