Can't restore from e-mail backup (Outlook 2002)

Thread needs solution

I used True Image 2009 to create an e-mail backup of Outlook 2002.  I believe my initial full e-mail backup was problem-free, but I'm unable to successfully restore it.  The restore process works without any errors, and it does create a .pst file.  However, when I open that .pst file, many of the personal mail folders and messages from the restored .pst files are missing (and I can see that they are in the backup because they appear during the restore wizard).  I had better luck when I restored each mail folder separately (basically ran the restore once selecting only 1 mail folder to restore)... when I opened those separate .pst files, I could see the folders and messages in them, but Outlook wouldn't let me copy them to my main .pst file to get them all in one file (received error messages about invalid parameter values).

Also, I did a validation of the first full e-mail backup,and was told it was valid (although it did list an error code...  I don't know if that is normal).  I also ran scanpst and the pst file was not corrupted.  I did not have any problems using the .pst file from the full computer backup, but unfortunately that's too old for me.

This may be related to the problem in 3050, since I'm also having the same problems with incremental backups (my incremental e-mail back up is stuck at 98% complete indefinitely, and it pins the CPU usage at 100%).

The e-mail backup is one of the primary reasons I bought this tool, so I need to get it working correctly!

Could you please clarify what this means? Please provide us with the appropriate log file.

- Launch the program;
- Tasks and logs, Log;
- Choose the respective log entry and make right-click on it;
- Select save option and specify the desired location for the log file to save to;
- Attach the log file to your next post..

Thank you.
