cant see the backup images when trying to recover

Thread needs solution

Hello everyone,

just installed ABR 11 and did two backups on my NAS Synology 211+, which I have connected as ISCSI. That worked fine so far. I can see both backup files in the windows explorer and can mount them via ABR console and throughsearch them.
But when Im trying to recover them with ABR I cant find any backup files in the folder where they are. It doesnt matter if I use the Windows console or the Boot CD. Connecting the Drive where the files are stored works fine. I can see every file on the drive but not the backup files (Archive(1).TIB and Archive(2).TIB).
I copied both backup files to a USB drive but had the same result. I can see the TIB files in windows explorer, I can mount them and throughsearche them, but when Im trying to recover them, they are not shown.
I can see the files when I navigate to the personal depot. When I start the recovery from that point it seemed to work at first, but it broke up when the system restarted to get the job done. Probably because it lost the ISCSI connection after restart. Anyway it should work when recovering with the boot CD. If only i could make ABR to see th TIB files.
I probably just missunderstood something and hope anyone can help me. Lost the whole day trying to get this working....
thx for your help

Edit: Solved. Im using the german version and it asks to specify backup source file. It actually just wants to know the FOLDER where the TIBs are saved and will search that folder for TIB files automaticly. Weired behavior. Used ABR9 before and think I ever had to specify the TIBs directly....

Hello Robert,

Thank you for using Acronis software.

For creating a recovery task you really only have to define the folder, where the archive is located. The reason for that is, that the newer versions are reading the meta information, that is also stored there. Find more information about this in our Online Help (german version here).

I am glad to hear that you have already solved your issue yourself and close this thread with it.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.
