centos 5.4 crash after console login
Good evening, i have just installed Acronis Linux Agent 10 on a Virtual Machine running Centos 5.4. Host machine is Windows Server 2008 64bit. Linux kernel is 2.6.18-164.11.1.el5. I have installed the latest version of Acronis. When I login from my console manager on host machine to my guest (centos) virtual machine, Centos 5.4 crash and i need to reset it. Have you ever see this error? Thanks for help.

Hello Antonio Della Libera,
Thank you very much for your post. I am sorry for not replying earlier but I will definitely assist you with this issue.
Most likely the program crashes because the Acronis SnapApi module did not compile correctly. To confirm this, can you please generate a Linux system report so that I can take a look at it.
You can also submit a support request if you need immediate assistance.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.
Thank you.

I resolve this issue with Acronis support following this steps:
1.Make sure that an appropriate kernel-devel package is installed (it should suit the running kernel)
2. make sure that the gcc package is installed (the same version as 'cat /proc/partition' shows)
3. Install Agent for Linux without compiling the snapapi module
4. Install the updated module (which I have downloaded to my Linux box) – “rpm -Uvh snapapi26_modules-0.7.51-1.noarch.rpm”
5. dkms ldtarball --archive=/usr/lib/Acronis/kernel_modules/snapapi26-0.7.51-all.tar.gz
6. dkms build -m snapapi26 -v 0.7.51
7.dkms install -m snapapi26 -v 0.7.51
Bye.
