We have observed a disparity between which it is reflected in the backup of acronis and what it really has formed in one of the virtual server.

It's similar to backing up from bootable media that has no idea about which letters are assigned to which volumes in live OS, and assigns first letter C: to the first - reserved partition. Here it enumerated volumes from C to F skipping CD-ROM.
