clone drive will not boot

I have a HP 9010 xp sp3. I cloned the hard drive with True Image 2009, to a external hard drive. Then I restored the laptop with factory disc. The computer worked fine. I booted the laptop with True Image disc, and did all of the steps to reload the cloned image from the external hard drive, to the internal hard drive.
Now the computer will not boot from the internal hard drive. It will only boot from CD drive. How can I get the computer to boot from hard drive. Can any body help me. Thanks for your help.
