Clone Interrupted by Power Outage

Please advise. I am in panic mode.
My boss wanted the laptop cloned.
I started the cloning process. And then Acronis takes over during the reboot.
The cloning operation was proceeding to over half the data copy-and then the laptop lost power ! I noticed that he didn't have the power adapter inserted.
Thus the cloning was interrupted.
I don't know what to do. The boss has the power adapter.
Is there any damage done to the laptop data ? If I plug in the power adapter
will the cloning process continue from where it was interrupted?
What should have been a safe procedure no feels compromized.
Let me know if i should wait for the power adatper, insert, and proceed.
Or remove the usb sata backup drive, power on the computer - and... I hope
nothing was effected on the source machine. Let me know . Thanks John
