Cloning

Thread needs solution

With Win 7 still new and TI 2010 behaving badly, I use the clone method to protect my OS which is on my 1st internal HD and SyncToy to back up my Documents which I keep on my 2nd internal HD. I clone to 3 HDs which I rotate about one a week using TI 2010 build 5055 and I swap in the newly cloned drive immediately proving or not that the clone works. So far it always has. My documents are backed up to another HD externally on a daily or as needed basis. I know this is a lot of hard drives to buy but it works very nicely for me and I feel comfortable. Build 5055 seams to be working but stay away from 6029 until Acronis gets it fixed. For my limited use, I believe 5055 is all I'll ever need. Hope everyone saved a copy of the 5055 installation file.

Hello Thord,

Thank you for posting, I really glad to hear that the program runs flawless. In order to better understand the case could you please describe the abnormal behavior of Acronis True Image Home 2010 of build # 6029? When exactly does the program fail?

We have released another build of Acronis True Image Home 2010 (build # 6053). Release notes for this build are available here.

Since without additional information I can’t be certain of the issue and I am not sure if the issue is addressed in the new build at this point, however it is generally a good idea to be up to date. Please download and install the latest build and check its functionality. You can learn more on how to download the latest build in this article.

If the latest build doesn't satisfy your needs and you want to revert back to build #5055, please let me know about it via Private Message, I will provide you with the appropriate installation file.

Please do not hesitate to ask additional questions if the provided information is not clear or you need a further assistance.

Thank you.
