Compability between Acronis Version and Dell Vostro 430 with iCore Processor

Thread needs solution

Dear All,

In the near future I will need to image 4 Intel PC (Intel MotherBoard +core2 CPU+WinXPSP2) and restore it to a Dell Vostro 430 Tower PC (with 4 HDD,so each HDD is for 1 System) over a network or via a USB drive.(I know Acronis Universal Restore does this job for me But I'm not sure)

Which version of your product will do the job?

I have order Dell desktops and I want to make sure is going to work .(I used previous version 9.1 and echo for other customer but I don't know about this Dell machine )

Please can you help me out.

Regards
Mehran

Hello Mehran!

Thank you for your question and please accept our apologies for the delay with the response. Let me address your query and help you with choosing the right product.

I would like to assure you that we support the hardware you have specified, and should you need to recover WinXP, you will need Acronis Backup and Recovery Workstation solution with Acronis Universal Restore for it. Please note that according to the Acronis License Policy you will need one license for one computer your are going to backup or restore.

Since you are going to recover the image onto the dissimilar hardware you will need to use Acronis Universal Restore. You need to take the drivers for the new hardware, store it in some easy accessible please like network shared folder, external HDD, or any removable media, boot the target machine with Acronis Bootable Rescue Media, follow the steps of the wizard till the Acronis Universal Restore option and there specify the path to the folder with the drivers.

Please note that prior to restoring to new hardware you need also to contact the vendor of the RAID controller (or other mass storage device - e.g. SCSI disk controller) and request the latest drivers for this mass storage device.

Then please unpack them from the package they are sent to you, so that the drivers were in *.inf and *.oem format

I would also advise you to take a look at the detailed Acronis Universal Restore User's Guide with the step-by-step instructions - you may find it helpful.

Please kindly let me know should anything seem confusing - I will be glad to clarify.

Thank you!
