Connect to SQL instance to manage

Thread needs solution

The default Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Licensing Server/Management Server was installed using the SQL 2005 Express database. I want to be able to connect to it in Microsoft SQL Server Express Edition Visual Studio (a free and simple download); however, the used Acronis installation Windows Account (domain\Administrator) is insufficient to connect to it. What credentials do I need in order to do this? Is there a SQL Authentication SA account that Acronis is set up with by default?

Why manage the instance? It is using too much memory for the box it is on.

You should first create an instance yourself and then specify the instance during installation. You can manage that instance. Handling an instance which you didnt created might be difficult. However, If you connect using Management console of SQL, you can do it.

Please see the article below to see the steps to connect to your created instance during installation

By default, the user with which you install, can manage SQL instance. You can also think of adding the user to SQL user groups for better privileges.
