Consistently failing backup

Thread needs solution

Running Backup and Recovery 2011 - did a fresh install of 17318 on Tuesday, and that backup went okay. Backup on Wednesday night went okay. Backup last night ran for 9 hours, and I had to reboot the server to get the server to work again.

No error messages, no indication as to what the problem is. It just seems to hang and cripple the server (can't remote to it, can't access files on it through shared folders etc).

Server is Windows 2003
Backup device is a USB-based external Hard Drive (which for the most part has worked fine up until this past week or so)
I'm trying to do full backups nightly.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated - if you require more information on our environment, let me know.

In order to figure out what happened we need the logs from the problem machine. Could you please send us Acronis Info output?
