Conversion from TIB to VM stuck at 100%
Hi,
I have backed up a physical machine to a TIB file and then when converting to a VM, the Backup Plans and Tasks window in Backup & Recovery 10 Server says the State is
Running 100%
The only way I can stop is to either press stop or stop the process in Task Manager, but the VM files get deleted and I am back to square one.
Any ideas?
Many thanks!

Further to my last post, I left Acronis running and then ran the VM in MS Virtual PC 2007. It booted up correctly, so I am going to try and make copies of the files before I stop Acronis so that I am left with copies of the files before Acronis deletes them.

OK - copying the VHD file to another drive and trying to assign it to a new VM doesn't work - Virtual PC 2007 gives the error message that the file cannot be accessed.
So Acronis, my Backup & Recovery 10 Server State has been 'Running 100%' for nearly 48 hours now - what to do?

Did you check that the file attributes and permissions were normal for the copied VHD file?
If VPC was able to run it from the original, I don't see why it wouldn't from the copy.

Right, pressed 'stop' 3 days ago and Acronis still refuses to stop the task and give me a VDD.
Are any of you Acronis guys going to help?

The attributes appeared to be normal but didn't check the permissions. Will take another look when get the chance ....

Hello Daniel,
I am familiar with the issue you are experiencing and will do everything possible from my side to provide you with the complete resolution.
First of all, if you experience the issue with converting the image to virtual machine, you can boot the virtual machine from ISOLINUX ISO file with Acronis Universal Restore and restore the image onto virtual machine as if you perform this operation on a physical computer. The convert operation uses the same algorithm as the standard CD with Acronis Universal Restore does. ISOLINUX Bootable Media is usually more up to date than the Acronis Loader one. This is due to the fact a new version of Acronis Bootable Media is uploaded to the web site more frequently than regular product updates are released.
Please let us know the results, we should be sure that the program runs flawless for you.
Please let me know if the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question.
Thank you.
