CONVERT TIB into VHD - Files larger than 128 Gigs ??

Thread needs solution

I have a need to be able to take a servers TIB file ( using ABR 10 ) and convert it to a VHD file and be able to run on another Hyper-V server, and create a virtual Server out of it.

( attempting a remote emergency recovery option - TIBS being stored on another Server 2008 R2 machine with Hyper-V installed )

Is the convert function only available to convert VHD's to MS Virtual PC format, which has the 128Gb size limit?
The TIB file is ( for example ) 200GB in size - when trying to convert using the Microsoft VHD parameters, it always fails, but if I try VMWare VMDK option, it works fine. - I ASSUME it is because it is over 128Gb in size, but the error doesnt explain WHY it cant convert it.
Currently I take the VMDK and then use Starwinds VMDK to VHD conversion tool. Just checking if there are any other different / newer tools that Acronis has, that allows you to use TRUEIMAGECMD and CONVERT TIB files larger than 128 Gb in size into a VHD format.

... Anybody out there able to throw me a bone ???

Hello David,

you can create a VHD file larger than 128Gb - just use GUI, not trueimagecmd. If it fails, check your ABR10 version. It must be no less than Update 3.

The two ways are descibed here:
http://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/ABR10/index.html#5076.html
and here:
http://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/ABR10/index.html#7364.html

You will obtain a MS Virtual PC. Take its disks and attach to a Hyper-V machine.
