Converting a .TIB to .VHD

Thread needs solution

We currently run Acronis True Image Enterprise 9.1 on a couple of servers and I would like to take a .TIB image of my web server which is running on a Dell PowerEdge 2400 server with Windows Server 2000 SP4 and convert it to a .VHD so I can use it on a Hyper V virtual server. I had done some searching here and saw that someone was trying to do this with a different version of Acronis. I noticed they were clicking on Tools & Utilities -> Convert Acronis Backup, but I don't have this option. I was wondering if there was a trial version that I could download and try this?

Thanks.

Backup & Recovery 11 Server, even in trial version, can 'restore' existing .tib file to a new virtual machine (set of files for a MS Virtual PC) that can be then imported into Hyper-V. ( http://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/ABR11/index.html#5076.html ) . B&R Virtual Edition , if agent for Hyper-V is installed on the Hyper-V host, can restore directly to a new or existing VM on this host.

dev-anon, I first need a way to convert the .TIB to .VHD My version of Acronis True Image Enterprise Server 9.1 doesn't seem to have the option to "Convert Acronis Backup".

I don't know much about 9.1, may be it has no such option. Tools & Utilities , most likely, refers to True Image Home, a different product. Answering your question

, I suggested to try B&R 11.
