Copy / paste from .tib files hang explorer.exe ...
Hello !
Here is a possible new issue with ABR 10 (11345).
I had this problem with two different customers / two different configurations.
I schedule a complete backup each day.
When I open a .tib file, on the same computer, it works perfectly (using windows explorer)
Then, I can browse files directly in the .tib backup...
If I restore one file / folder using copy / paste, everything works fine ...
But If I try to restore a large number of file (for example, a folder with 5000 files / 30 GB) using copy / paste, restoration process hangs several seconds after it begins.
This cause:
windows explorer close unexpectedly
windows explorer hangs "explorer's windows freeze".
The only way to restore huge quantity of files seems to be with the acronis console (using restore and then choosing "file restore").

Hello.
I have quite the same problem.
I 'm using schedule backup as follows:
- Source type: Disks/Volumes
- Items to back up: E: ...Local drive(it's around 3TB)
- Archive Path: Personal vault, F:\Acronis\ ...external USB-HDD
- Backup type: Incremental
- Volume Shadow Copy Service: Create snapshots without using VSS
- Compression level: Normal
Windows explorer hangs during the restore of a number of file (eg. 2,011 files and 490 folders / 3.76 GB) using copy / paste.
It's running on Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2(x86). And the server has 4GB memory.
It was installed only for running Acronis Backup, that means there is no other application. (eg. database, www)
I think it has enough memory to do almost everything, but the problem is happening.
Please let us know if there is the solution.
Thank you.

Hello Mas-K,
Thank you for posting. I would like to assist you with this problem.
I have checked with our Expert team and it requires additional investigation from our side. We will need some diagnostic information from the machine, and if possible, maybe the whole image so that our quality assurance team can try to reproduce this issue.
I would like to post an updated list of diagnostic information that I requested in my previous post #1.
4. AcronisInfo report.
5. If possible, upload the image to our ftp server. (this will have to be arranged with the support engineers to provide you with an upload ftp link)
6. Description of the backup image location.
7. Description of the types of files are in the backup.
8. Description of the type of an image it is.
You can then submit a support request and ask to be escalated to our Expert team.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.
Thank you.
