Creating new Vault, can't connect to FTP server

I'm using Backup & Recovery 10 for Server and having a problem connecting to an FTP site. I've got a server package at 1and1.com and they give me a separate FTP for backups at the data center, I have no problems connecting to it with a standard FTP client.

When I try to create a storage Vault in Acronis, it keeps asking for the login and password no matter how many times I enter it (correctly, of course). I don't have any access as to how the FTP site is setup and cannot change any settings other than the password. I did find this in the Acronis knowledgebase:

"The product cannot access FTP servers that do not confirm transfer completion after the LIST command or do not support MLST and MLSD commands. An example of such FTP servers is ProFTPD."

Any other ideas?
