Difference between Acronis' "Seagate Black Armor" on PS110 drive and TI 2010

Thread needs solution

I just bought a Seagate PS110 Blackarmor drive and was curious at what the differences were between the Seagate Branded True Image on it versus TI 2010 Home.

Thanks,
Mario

Hello Mario,

Thank you for your question, I will do everything possible from my side to give you a clear explanation.

Seagate DiscWizard is based on Acronis True Image engine; however its functionality is very limited in comparison with the original product. This product makes it easier for customers to work with Seagate hard disc drives. Seagate DiscWizard lets them install new hard disc drives quickly with the help of wizards that guide them through the process of creating and formatting partitions on the new HDDs.

Seagate DiscWizard does not include the following features:

- Files and Folders Backup;

- Archive to Various Places;

- E-mail Notification;

- Secure Zone;

- Start Up Recovery Manager;

- Tasks Scheduler;

- Try&Decide.

Seagate DiscWizard does not support the following file systems:

- Ext2/3;

- ReiserFS.

The main functions of Seagate DiscWizard are:

- Backup and Restore of entire disc(s);

- Partition(s) Backup and Restore;

- Clone disc;

- Add new disc.

Acronis in association with Seagate offers 40% discount for upgrading from Seagate DiscWizard.

If you purchase the Upgrade to Acronis True Image Home 2010, please note that Seagate DiscWizard should not be removed prior to the installation of Acronis True Image Home 2010. During the installation over Seagate DiscWizard you will be prompted to enter the upgrade serial number for Acronis True Image Home 2010 only.

If are prompted to enter the serial number for a previous version, you should install the latest build of Seagate DiscWizard and install Acronis True Image Home 2010 over it. The latest build of Seagate DiscWizard can be downloaded from the official web-site.

Please let me know if the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question.

Thank you.
