Domain Name changed of AMS now clients cannot connect

Thread needs solution

We recently changed the domain name of our AMS and now the clients cannot connect to the AMS is there a way to change the server that the client points to easily without connecting to each client or having to access the registry on all clients? The clients are pointing to the fully qualified domain name (The old one) for example amsserver.foxhole.net and the new name is amsserver.rabbithole.net. I could not find a solution that worked in the forum.

Hello Craig Richards,

Thank you for posting this question in our forum. I am happy to assist you.

If your client machines are connected with FQDN name convention to the machine with Acronis Management Server, you need to reset the configuration on each client. The most common way is to use the IP adress instead of FQDN names. I suggest to delete all clients from Acronis Management Server inside the Acronis Management Console and then add them via Active Directory or a text file with a list of ip addresses
