Don't know where to look for drivers or how to extract from .exe files.

Thread needs solution

I keep reading that the drivers cannot be in the .exe format and such, but I cannot figure out how to get them out of the .exe format other than just installing them. I don't want to install them, but I did and I cannot find where they are located so I can Universal Restore. I have tried to use the search function but I just keep getting "extract from the .exe format" with no instructions on how.

Hello Joshua Zacheis,

Thank you very much for your post.

Just in case, you can also check the following article in our Knowledge Base. It shows how to restore using Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 Universal Restore - Restoring to Dissimilar Hardware with Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Universal Restore.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you.

More time then not the .exe files have and extraction method built in to them. Run the exe followed but either a /? or just a ?. Start=>Run=>driver.exe /? and it will tell you how to extract the files.

It is usually something like driver.exe /e /foldertoextractto
