DVD-RW incremental backups
Hello:
Does Acronis Backup and Recovery support DVD-RW incremental backups?
I want to be able to do a full backup for a database but after this just incremental backups.
I need to add only the records that have been changed/added and not the whole database on each subsequent backup.

It is not possible to create an incremental backup and save it to a DVD-RW either overwriting the previous one or adding additional ones to the DVD-RW.
In order for the incremental backup to get created, our software needs to have access to a full backup and this brings in a lot of complications. Where will our software look for the full backup, will it be stored on the local hard drive or be present on the same DVD?
However, considering your request, I will create a Customer Listening Ticket for it and forward it to our Development team, so that this feature may get implemented in a future release of our software.
As a workaround, you can save incremental backups to your hard drive and then transfer them manually to a DVD-RW.

Hi Anton-
I'd like to see support for this as well, please. I didn't realize when I wrote the full backup to a DVD that I wouldn't be able to use the same RW disc for incrementals. Acronis knows to write to the DVD when I select "Update" for that particular category, and even prompts me for a disc, so why couldn't it look there for the full backup first? That's the way other software I've used has handled it, then I'd be prompted if I'd inserted the wrong backup disc.
I'll use your workaround in the meantime.
