Echo 9.5 to ABR10 Upgrade, importing tasks problem

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I've been planning on upgrading to ABR10 and recently ran into an issue while testing the migration process in my lab environment. I have the following setup (also note that I am upgrading to the trial version of ABR10 for testing purpose):

W2003 AD
W2003 Acronis server
XP client

After successfully upgrading the server components I moved on to the client. The client has only the agent installed and has a few local backup tasks. So I installed the new agent along with the upgrade tools, when finished I ran the following in a command prompt:

C:\Program Files\Acronis\UpgradeTool>cscript UpgradeTool.vbs Agent

And was gived the following:

"Resolved script directory as C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis\TrueImage\Scripts
Running upgrade tool
Not all the tasks were converted successfully. See the log file for details."

Examining the log states the following:

From the errors there seem to be a permissions issue, maybe service/local user account related? The XP machine is part of the domain and I'm logged in as the domain administrator though. Any suggestions to how I can solve this problem?

Thankful for any insight!

Hello Bob,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.

According to the file provided, the issue is caused by the limited access to network share (Net Connection 3). Could you please clarify where the archives were saved? Please check if you are able to connect to the network share properly. If you use a NAS device or a simple network share, set the Full control permissions for this shared  folder.

You can learn more on how to set or to change the permissions for Windows shared folder in this article. The appropriate instructions for NAS drives are available in the technical documentation which comes with the device.

Please let us know the results, we should be sure that the program runs flawless for you.

Please let me know if the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question.

Thank you.
