email notifications not working..

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I'm using B&R 10 for Windows Server and am trying to get the email notifications working.

I've set the proper hostname, port, username and password as well as using TLS and sending a test email would give me a

"Test message has been sent successfully."

But in the email server, I get:

Feb 16 14:12:29 STARTTLS=server, error: accept failed=0, reason=tlsv1 alert unknown ca, SSL_error=1, errno=0, retry=-1, relay=srv1 [192.168.1.20]
Feb 16 14:12:29 STARTTLS=server: 6066:error:14094418:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:tlsv1 alert unknown ca:s3_pkt.c:1300:SSL alert number 48
Feb 16 14:12:29 v1G6CTnR006066: srv1 [192.168.1.20] did not issue MAIL/EXPN/VRFY/ETRN during connection to MSA-SSL

I've also tried using smtp.gmail.com, and while it says the test message has been sent successfully,  I never get the test
 email.

Might anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Ed

Hello Ed,

Welcome to Acronis user forums! I've found the following thread on a similar issue. I'd recommend checking the settings of your SMTP povider. Here you'll find some additional troubleshooting steps.

Thank you,

Hi Ekaterina,

I've been wracking my brain about this and have come across:

http://openssl.6102.n7.nabble.com/TLS-unknown-ca-alert-number-48-td1966…

What certificate does Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 use?  And how do I change it?   While I've found some PEM files, I'm doubt those are the certificates I need to update.

Thanks

Ed
