Thread needs solution

I have a problem with Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Workstation (german) on one of my customers PC.
The software is used to backup data from a NAS-Drive to an external USB-Drive.
The NAS is mappped local on the PC as drive Z:, the USB-Drive as drive G:
The backup-task fails with the error "Das Ende der Datei wurde erreicht" ("the end of the file has reached").
OS is Windows XP Pro SP3 German, AV is McAfee Internet Security, no other special software running, Acronis B&R 10 lastest build is installed.

had the same problem

try to specify your unc-path like \\servername\share-name as your backup source and not the mapped drive (Z:).

that worked for me.

I can not see my NAS as UNC path(WDShareSpace\public) it only show up as mapped drive.

Any Suggestions?

You are correct that in case you are saving the backup to the mapped drive you need to use the UNC path, but I would just like to mention that it should look like

\[ip_address]\[folder_name]

So you need to use the IP address instead of the server name. Please kindly take a look at this article for more details.
