Error: cannot create target file 'symmpi.inf'

Thread needs solution

I've been unable to recover a backup to VM, and I always get this error. I'm already spending too much time on the phone with tech support and still not going anywhere. Hope any of you could point me to the right direction, or give me a clue of what this message mean. Thanks.

My configuration:
- Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 Virtual Edition
- Hyper-V host is running Win 2008 R2
- Latest build (10.0.12497) is installed on the management server and the Hyper-V host
- The backup that I want to restore is the backup of a Win 7 machine. The backup archive consists of only one full backup, there are no incremental backups.
- The backup is on an unmanaged centralized vault on a network drive.

Things I've tried:
- The backup passed the validation.
- Create VM on Hyper-V host. On the management server, right click the backup and select Recover and recover to existing VM. Process fail with an error message (see attachment).
- Right click the backup and select Recover and recover to new VM. Process fails with an error message (see attachment).
- Try recovering to VM on other backups with NO success.
