Error code 7 cannot find the specified archive after cartridge change
Hi all - We have recently moved from using one backup cartridge to two. This means that one can be removed offsite (Yeah I know - but the bean counters did not think it was inportant at the time!). The problem I am having is that the backup keeps failing with error code 7 'Cannot find the specified archive' once the cartridge has been changed. The verification runs successfully but it fails immediatley once the backup starts. If I get it going, it runs fine until the cartridge is changed again.
I suspect it is something stupid that I done in the settings.
SBS 2008
Acronis Backup and recovery 10 SBS
Dell RD1000 with two backup cartridges - same location on each tape
Incremental backup running for one week, then change the cartridge
Retention rules: Delete backups after 7 days (possible problem due to previous weeks backups being on other cartridge)

Thank you for posting your question in our forum.
For backing up to removable drives, I suggest to use the simplified naming of backups. You can find more information in this article from our knowledge base. There should be no need to create different backups for each cartridge.
