Error Messages

Thread needs solution

We have experienced some file corruption issues on the system drive. I have repaired the drive with chkdsk and most everything is working except the Acronis Recovery Manager. It will not load but returns a small error window with "ManagementConsole.exe - Bad Image" in the title bar with this message in the window: C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft.vc80.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.4940_none-d08cc06a442b34fc\MSVCP80.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contace your system administrator or the software vendor for suupport.

Also at startup I get three error messages, each has the same message in the window but the title bar of the window references three Acronis exe files: TimounterMonitor.exe, Monitor.exe and Tray Monitor.exe. The message in the window is: C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft.vc80.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.4940_none-d08cc06a442b34fc\MSVCP80.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for suupport.

I have tried repairing and reinstalling to no avail.

Not sure what this comment field is for, but it would be nice to have some help getting the backup working again.

This file is a part of Microsoft visual studio 2005 redistributable. It may be installed during Acronis Backup installation, and you can remove it in 'add/remove programs' control panel screen where it appears as a separate item. Or it may come pre-installed - in this case i'd try to download and install the redistributable from Microsoft website or copy these files from identical machine if they are of the same version there.
