Error when i want backup a esxi
hy,
In first time sorry for my english.
I have a vmware esxi 3.5 with 3 vmware machines.
I have a physical serveur 2003 with the console.
I have installed the acronis esx appliance
I see my virtual machine in acronis ( the last build )
the probleme, when i want do a backup on a files in my disque
i have this error : error 2
module 218
Failed to run the backup and recovery engine

STEP 1.
Am I right that you have the following environment:
Physical machine #1 - VMware ESXi 3.5 with 3 virtual machines on it yes
Physical machine #2 - Windows 2003 yes
Another questions are:
What update of ESXi 3.5 do you have? 3.5 the last update
What service pack do you have on your physical Windows 2003? 2003 R2 32 bit
What operating systems do you have on your virtual machines? 3 operating system 2 2008 R2 and 1 Win2000 Server
STEP 2.
Then let's clarify where is Acronis software installed.
Physical machine #2 - Acronis Management Console + Acronis Management Server exact
Physical machine #1 - Acronis Virtual Appliance yes
Are there any other Acronis components installed on your environment? no backup exec 12d is installed on the 2003
STEP 3.
Where did you create backup plan or backup policy? (I mean you was connected to Management Server or directly to Virtual Appliance?) in acronis manage console
What entities did you selecte to backup? (whole virtual machine or disk from virtual machine?)total backup
Was that virtual machine running or not? the 3 machine virtual are running

I have analyzed the logs and unfortunately I cannot tell you exactly why this issue is occurring. I would recommend to update your current version to our latest build, which is 11639 and if the issue persists after that, please submit a support request with these logs.

2. AcronisInfo report that you have provided me with.
