After we configured the system, everything works, however not for long (a day or two), without a known reason the backup stops functioning, after this the mistake is shown as we try to connect again.

Acronis error:

I trying to connect Acronis Management Console to Acronis Agent, and connection fails with the following error message:

Failed to establish remote connection: Remote connections are disabled

All informations from
http://kb.acronis.com/content/5722
are implemented.
However the system is still not working.

We need immediate help.

Please can you help us.

Another possible reason is the expired license. (trial period is over or inability to connect to license server)

Yesterday we have the same problem. We cannot connect to linux agent machine. I successfully used this workaround:

/etc/init.d/acronis_agent stop
/etc/init.d/acronis_mms stop
rm –r /var/lib/Acronis/mms
mkdir –p /var/lib/Acronis/mms
/etc/init.d/acronis_agent start
/etc/init.d/acronis_mms start
