Failed to backup image

Hi all,

I have Acronis 10 and am trying to create a backup image of my base laptop (fresh out of the box) onto an external hard drive for work so I have a point to go back to if I need to. The laptop I am trying to create a backup image of is a dell E6420 ATG. It has 3 partitions that come factory, they are: Recovery, C:, and an OEM. When I try to create a backup image it just completely fails. My thinking is that there has to be a hard drive setting somewhere that needs to be changed in order for this to work. I have tried to create an image on a dell e6510 and it works like a charm. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
