FBI Warning Virus

Thread needs solution

Yesterday the FBI virus took over my computer. If anyone is familiar with this virus it takes over the screenand no other apps are avaliable and cntl-alt-delete will not come up. At re-boot Acronis Recovery Manager cannot be accessed. "Last Known Good Config...."does not work. I can get into "Safe Mode with Command Prompt" One quesion is: How do I get to my Acronis Backup which is on the seperate hard drive that I back up to.

I found out how to get to the restore points using the "Safe Mode with Command Prompt" and restored one day back but got a message about \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM being corrupt or missing. I think this might be because the FBI Virus had messed that up for some days back. I get a message about using original Setup CD-ROM but I am on XP Pro and doubt that would work (if I knew how to do it with the "r" mentioned and all) because that goes back +- 10 years. If I would have gone to an older restore point maybe things would work but that opportunity is gone. I can no longer get to the "Safe Mode with Command Prompt" because of the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM message.

Please help and THANKS!

Boot from acronis bootable CD (if you have another computer somewhere, you can download .iso from you acccount) and recover.
