Hi Muhammad

To create your backup you can either use the Boot CD or install ABR11 onto your server to create the image (The same CD can be used to perform the recovery)

What might be causing the confusion is when you are creating the backup you will not see the Universal Restore option. What you need to do is backup your system selecting the required volumes and settings.

When it comes to the recovery side of things is when you will get the option to use Universal Restore or not, so if you are not seeing the option during the backup task creating/process do not worry about it please processed and this will not cause any issues.

Basically the Universal Restore component is only needed/activated during the recovery period if you select to use it.

Hope it helps!

Good Day,

Yes you are right, we dont have the option of Universal restore when we're taking backup.

I created bootable media via option, I'm confused because it ask me for drivers when I create bootable media using Win PE. Have to give the drivers for that system in which I will run that bootable media but I am not sure to give which drivers, like if I am installing Windows XP Professional SP3 to another system different hardware, so I will define Intel Chipset Driver, Intel Graphic Driver or which drivers.

Next thing is that, when I boot the system from bootable media, after selecting the backup file and restore to option, In the end OK button is disabled. I dont know why, I thought bootable media which I created is not fine, I re-created bootable media but option is disabled of Ok (at last) but if I select restore button on the machine in which ABR11 is installed, OK button is not disabled when I click on ABR11 restore option and I can recover.

Many Thanks. Take care.

Good Day,

I made a mistake, I didn't selected Option - Recover Disk 1 MBR to 'Select the disk where the MBR will be recovered'

After selecting, in the end OK button is enabled & I can perform restoration.

Thanks,
