How to backup a workstation configured Raid1 (n.3 hard disks)
"Backup & Recovery 10 build 10.0.11345 workstation" backup my workstation that consists of n. 3 Hard Disks Sata with capacity of 500GB each. Two disks are in raid1 (disk0+disk1) and the third disk (disk2) is a mirror disk of disk0 and disk1. OS is W7 Professional 64 bit, Intel Core I7 CPU and raid has an Intel(R) ICH8R/ICH9R/ICH10R series 3400 sata raid controller. I see into Acronis disk management section the following two logical drives:
1) Foreign Disk Group(disk1(MBR),Missing(LDM))
c: 465,7GB 429,3GB Mirrored(unsupported) failed redundancy
Reserv. for the sys. 100 MB 75,59MB Simple/spanned(unsupported) healty (boot)
2) Foreign Disk Group(disk2(MBR),Missing(LDM))
None 465,7GB 432,6GB Mirrored(unsupported) failed redundancy
None 100 MB Simple/spanned failed(boot)
Unallocated 103 MB ---------- --------------
I have scheduled a backup only of the first logical drive (C: + reserved area) because I suppose that the second logical drive has the same data as the first one.
May you confirm that is a correct backup in case of full restoring of the system?
I suppose that I need to restore data into the same disk (disk2) and after booting the system, Intel raid should reinitialise data into raid1 (disk0+disk1).
Thanks in advance for help

Thanks for your replay.
If my understanding is right, Acronis disk management section message "failed redundancy", "Mirrored(unsupported)" and "Missing(LDM)" displaied on both group of disks are not important because Acronis freeze Raid during backup. Is this correct ?
Thanks

Hi guys! I need to clone a RAID 1 (pair of SATA) PC (Source PC) and restore to an identical computer on same RAID 1 (target PC). What is the best practice to do this? I have two new hard drives to be setup as RAID 1 on the target PC. Do I need just to do a regular restore after setup RAID 1 on the target PC? Any help will be kindly appreciated !
