How to ensure scheduled tasks don't get queued?
I have scheduled my Acronis tasks to run at times when I am not otherwise likely to be busy. If for some reason the system is not running at the scheduled time for a task to start, the task is queued and starts when I next fire the system up. I really don't want this to happen. It is very frustrating when starting up for a presentation on arrival with a customer to find that everything gets bogged down with backing up. I know I can go in and stop tasks, but is it possible to stop them queuing in the first place? What with Acronis and my Internet Security program both hogging resources, the machine is useless for the first quarter of an hour:-(

Edit the task under the scheduled tab. Just underneath the password entry, be sure the two items are unchecked. Being unchecked means if missed, they will run at their next scheduled time. If you need a backup before that time, you will need to start the task manually.
Tasks can be run manually either from inside the task program or via a desktop shortcut should you want to create such a shortcut.
