How to Locate Outlook Email Files

Thread needs solution

Outlook 2007 crashed and has been uninstalled and reinstalled. I need to find the backup file on Acronis True Image 11 Home for all of my emails -- there are 11 parts to the most recent full backup. How do I find which one has the backup of the emails?

Hello Paul,

I understand the issue clearly and will do everything possible from my side to give you a reliable solution.

Since you don't remember the exact archive file that was created by My E-mail backup type, to identify the necessary file you should go to the Restore Wizard and in Backup Archive Selection window try to choose all archives available there. Only the desired file will bring you to the screen that allows to recover the Outlook items.

By the way, in Acronis True Image Home 2010 you can get rid of this problem, all backup archives are sorted by the type of the backup creation. Acronis True Image Home 2010 stores information about the backup archives in a metadata information database that makes the process of archive management easier.

I may recommend you to install a trial version of Acronis True Image Home 2010 available here in order to make sure that the program runs flawless for you.

If you would like to purchase the upgrade to Acronis True Image Home 2010, please visit the Acronis online store.

Please let me know if the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question.

Thank you.
