How to recover individual files?

Thread needs solution

When I look at BR, i don't see an option where I can pick and choose which files I want to RESTORE.

If you know how, please let me know. Thank you.

Thank you for your question. I will be happy to assist you.

To restore individual files, launch Acronis Backup and Recovery Management console. In the main view, please select recover. Please check screenshot 1.

In the next wizard, under what to recover, press change to select your backup file. Then, toggle data type to select what type of restore you would like. In the content section you can choose specific files. Also, please take a look at the where to recover part, there are additional options, for example you can replace the original file or place it to a new location. At the bottom of the wizard you can press OK to commence the recovery. Please check screenshot 2.

Thank you for your prompt. I did what you suggested.However, I still can't control which files I want to restore because ABR 10 RESTORES everything. I want to choose a file or a folder in my backup. Why can't I do it?

After I click OK button, I see 'Backup plans and tasks' panel.

Thank you for getting back to us!

Please refer to screenshot 2 in my previous post. In the content section if you press Change, you will be presented with the following window.

You can then select which backup file you want to use, which folders and files you need restored. Simply check the folders/files you want recovered.
