Hyper-V conversion takes days to boot
Thread needs solution
We have a client with a Windows 2003 SBS on an HP Prolinant DL380 G5.
They like us to test the disaster recovery plan every 6 month - this involves converting the TIB backup to a Hyper-V VM. On all previous attempts we managed to do this without a problem. This time the virtualised server boots but then takes a day to get through processing network connections and over a day to process integration services (in fact we gave up at this point)
The only significant difference this time is that the TIBs and VM were both produced with ABR11.
Can anyone provide an explanation for this extreme change in performance?
