i have two 500Gig raid0 drives (C: drive is seen as 1TB) -I only have two drive bays
and they're being used by the two 500gig raid0 drives (no data redundancy, the data is simply 'striped' across the two drives -one drive cannot live without the other, or without raid0 turned on, for that matter. . .if i want to sustain my system-
i want to back it up to an 1tb harddrive, i will put it on an external enclosure.
But what is this about the tib file??
where do i put the tib file???
i wish i could simply copy from my "C:" to the external 1TB, and when done, simply replace the two 500Gig drives with the one 1tb drive (that i was using as external with the usb enclosure).
but apparently i cant do that: I have to back up to a tib, and then i have to restore from the tib to the 'new drive'. . . .
so where do i put the tib?? surely i cant put it in the new drive, can i??
and would it make sense to put the tib in the 'old drive'??
where should i put the tib file?
