Hello Antoni,

by default this option is disabled. In this state the program will display a pop-up window each time it comes across a bad sector and ask for a user decision as to whether to continue or stop the backup procedure. In order to back up the valid information on a rapidly dying disk, enable ignoring bad sectors. The rest of the data will be backed up and you will be able to mount the resulting disk backup and extract valid files to another disk.

Thank you.

but I made backup disks with bad sectors and have never been warned by acronis

¿se refiere a sectores que contienen informacion y acronis no puede leer, es decir, que el sistema operativo XP aun no lo ha descartado?
Are you referring to sectors that contain information and acronis can not read, that is, the XP operating system has not yet ruled out?

De hecho, yo siempre deberia marcar esta opcion para que sean ignorados los sectores defectuosos
In fact, I should always check this option to be ignored bad sectors

Si no, para qué sirve dejar sin marcar?
If not, what does it leave unchecked?

Hello Antoni,

Bad sectors in this case are sectors which are marked as bad in the file system. In some cases users prefer to know about presence of bad sectors on their disks and that is why this option is disabled by default.

Thank you.
