Image VS Data ?

Thread needs solution

Dears
Actually i have this Q. lets say i have 90 GB Data that have like nearly 80000 files and folders and data change every day not all but some of these files changes . so i want to make weekly and daily backup so i make Full-weekly and Daily incremental one. I use the image way to backup the entire partion with excluding sys files . i already notice that if i chose the my Data backup way for the same files and folders will be much more hard ( time eating )
So what do you think .. remain with the backup with the entire image or go for the My data BKUP?

Also i searched for that problem when i use FTP way to backup >> poor media and backup failed so i use backup through MS Share .
FTP is much fast than MS share . i tried split archive , increase ftp time out but no luck
So my Q is do you gonna fix this in the future or you will leave like that ;)

Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for posting your questions, I will be happy to help. Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.
From my point of view,  it is preferable to create a partition backup instead of data backup. As you already mentioned, partition backup will take less system and time resources, especially if the source files should be changed significantly.
About backup to FTP. There are several things you should know in order to set the backup operation to FTP server:
- FTP-server must allow passive mode for file transfers.
- It is recommended that you change the source computer Firewall settings to open ports 20 and 21 for both TCP and UDP protocols and disable the Routing and Remote Access Windows service.
- A backup file should be split for saving on an FTP server, recovery directly from an FTP server requires the archive to be split into files of no more than 2GB.
- The product cannot access FTP servers that do not confirm transfer completion after the LIST command or do not support MLST and MLSD commands.
Please let us know the results, we should be sure that the program runs flawlessly. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.
Thank you.
